The Music for Mission Honduras project was created to assist two Honduran communities struggling to rebuild after Hurricane Mitch destroyed much of the area in 1998. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the CD goes directly to the mission fund for the specific purpose of helping these wonderful and faithful people. Since we began our mission in 2006, we have raised funds to rebuilt roads, chapels, and other structures, as well as reprint coursebooks for school children and purchase two farms in the area to help provide a fixed income and some financial stability. One of these farms is an Africa Palm plantation which is a very profitable means of providing income to these parishes. The work is far from completed and we will continue to support our Honduran brothers and sisters for years to come. Each year, we are presented with a list of projects that need work and we will continue to be there to assist them both financially and spiritually. Visit our information site to learn more.
My hope is that we can continue to provide a little support from the sale of this CD project and any others we may create for this specific purpose in the future. We have many talented people in our midst; my hope is through this example, we will encourage them to give a little of their time and talent to helping others less fortunate than ourselves.
It’s really what we are called to do.
